Our focus is on nurturing robust immune systems naturally, ensuring each puppy is healthy, vibrant, and prepared for a lifetime of love and companionship. We work closely with our buyers to emphasize how proper nutrition and care can save $$$ on future vet bills.

Our breeding dogs undergo thorough health and DNA testing and are selected for their exceptional temperaments, which shine through in their puppies. We continuously research and implement the best practices to raise healthy bulldogs, ensuring we’re always striving for excellence in our program.

We’re passionate about placing our puppies in loving and caring homes. Providing the best possible care for our puppies is our priority, and seeing them thrive with their new families brings us immense joy.

Our commitment doesn’t end at the time of sale. We are here to support you throughout the lifetime of your bulldog, offering guidance and assistance whenever needed. At Pappy’s English Bulldogs, we believe in being partners in your journey as a bulldog owner. (check out our reviews)

Natural Rearing Philosophy

Our puppies are raised using Natural Rearing practices, which include:

  • High Quality Kibble for those that don't want to do a Raw based diet. Raw Goat milk added to kibble for extra developmental benefits.
  • Species-Appropriate Raw Diet: Puppies and adult dogs are fed a balanced, raw, meat-based diet to promote optimal health. Along with Raw Goat milk for extra developmental benefits.
  • Chemical-Free Environment: We avoid harmful chemicals in pest preventatives, cleaning supplies, grooming products, and lawn care.
  • Homeopathic and Natural Remedies: Routine healthcare and minor illnesses are managed naturally, with guidance from a holistic vet.

Socialization and Sensory Development

A healthy puppy isn’t just physically strong but mentally well-adjusted. To achieve this, we:

  • Keep the puppies’ in the living room with us, allowing exposure to everyday household sounds like conversations, the TV, and footsteps.
  • Gradually introduce them to new environments. From 3–8 weeks, in their larger whelping box.
  • Expose them to common household noises (e.g., vacuum cleaners, mixers, radios, lawn mowers and sometimes louder bangs outside) in a controlled and non-stressful way.

Why We Avoid Antibiotics and Over-Medication

While many breeders use antibiotics as a precaution, we focus on prevention through:

  • Building Strong Immunity Naturally: Avoiding unnecessary medications lets the body’s immune system develop its own natural defenses. They are healthier with less allergies.
  • Holistic Guidance: We work with holistic veterinarians who emphasize a natural approach to health, which studies show can extend a dog's healthy lifespan for many more years.

We also avoid routine vaccinations and other conventional drugs. Instead, we:

  • Delay Vaccinations: No vaccinations are given before 12 weeks, and we aim to phase them out entirely, relying on natural immunity from their mothers' milk.
  • IF... Vaccines are Needed: I will have vaccines for those buyers that need them prior to leaving. They wont be administered til 8 weeks. Please reach out to me to discuss.
  • Administer Worming as Needed: We test stool samples first to see if there is even cause for concern. Worming treatments are given only when necessary. We do preventive care by using food grade diatomaceous earth or ground pumpkin seed which will both naturally and holistically kill worms.

A Balanced Perspective on Vaccines

Vaccination is a sensitive topic, and we respect individual choices while sharing our philosophy and findings:

  • Puppies vaccinated before 12 weeks risk losing the natural immunity from their mothers' milk.
  • Many vaccines contain harmful chemicals like mercury-based thiomersal and formaldehyde, which can have long-term health effects.
  • Most all vaccines are made using either egg embryo's or calf serum which is sometimes why most dogs develop an allergy to chicken and beef. See blog post: Understanding Vaccines and Allergic Reactions in Bulldogs
  • Vaccinating for multiple diseases at once overwhelms the immune system, similar to taking on too many major tasks at once. You are just asking for a vaccine related issue or death. ONE at a time. See Blog post: Building Natural Immunity and Detoxing Bulldogs

Research supports that yearly vaccinations are unnecessary; immunity from one vaccination often lasts eight years or even a lifetime. Our focus is on informed decisions that minimize risks and promote long-term health. Our adults only get the rabies vaccine because it’s required by law, we do not do boosters of any kind. We are not against vaccines, we are against adverse reactions, cancers and long term side effects.

Bathing Your Bulldog

We bathe our Bulldogs sparingly—only two or three times a year. Frequent bathing can strip essential oils from their skin, compromising its natural barrier and potentially causing dryness or irritation. Not to mention all the horrible chemicals in most dog shampoos. We don’t want to set the puppy up more allergies or skin issues. Take them while they are young

Instead, we recommend exploring Thera-Clean Micro Bubble Dog Baths, which provide a deep, effective, and gentle cleanse without compromising your Bulldog's skin health.

Benefits of Micro Bubble Baths:

  • Deep Cleansing: Micro bubbles reach deep into the pores and hair follicles, effectively removing dirt, debris, and excess oils while addressing common skin issues like itching, hot spots, and allergies.
  • Hydration and Moisturization: The oxygen-rich bubbles promote hydration, leaving your dog’s skin refreshed and their coat shiny and healthy.
  • Gentle and Relaxing: The tiny bubbles create a soothing, massaging sensation, ideal for Bulldogs with sensitive skin or those anxious about bath time.
  • Odor Elimination: Micro bubbles neutralize odor-causing bacteria, leaving your dog smelling fresh and clean.
  • Eco-Friendly: This method uses significantly less water than traditional baths, making it a sustainable choice for your pet's grooming needs.

Finding a groomer who offers Thera-Clean or similar micro bubble technology can help ensure your Bulldog receives a spa-like experience that enhances their overall health and well-being.

Commitment to Like-Minded Homes

We are committed to ensuring that our puppies go to homes that share our values and continue their holistic care. Families who follow a natural, chemical-free lifestyle and feed a raw diet receive priority in our placement process. After all a “good” kibble is around $95 for a 30lb bag and RAW food (if you make it yourself is around $112 to 150 per month) depending on if you make it in bulk or not. My favorite quote is “You can spend your hard-earned money on the best food OR you can spend your hard-earned money at the vet fixing a poor diet.” It’s your money, so you choose. I prefer spending a little more on good food and very rarely seeing the vet.

By raising our puppies this way, we ensure they grow into healthy, intelligent, and well-balanced companions who bring joy to their families for many years to come.

Thank you for considering one of our puppies. We’re proud to share our holistic philosophy with you and help you begin a beautiful journey with your new furry family member.

Sincerely,
English Bulldogs USA, LLC
